‘Stepping out and tuning in’

High quality time out is something we rarely give ourselves as doctors but it can be the starting point for a balanced and more fulfilled life. If we take some moments away from the daily rush – without the distractions of media, family drama and household chores – we can focus our attention on how and where we are. It is here that better decisions are made and contentment lies.

Over the weekend we will connect body and mind with all levels yoga practices, calm ourselves with mindfulness and deep relaxation and nourish ourselves with wholesome food, company and surroundings. Food is vegetarian, organic and home grown and entirely home created. It is delicious. Tea, coffee and snacks are available at all times.  Rooms can be twin/double or single occupancy and are either en-suite or a bathroom is shared with one other room.

Your Yoga instructor will be Dr Thuli Whitehouse – a GP, yoga teacher, mother and trustee of the British Holistic Medical Association. She is based in Hackney London and teaches a therapeutic form of yoga developed by Ana Forrest. She is committed to enabling reconnection and the fulfilment of potential in each person as well as making healthcare services more sentient.
